Mini King & Queen contest will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursday, August 19th during the Fair Queen Contest in the arena.
This will provide the winners a chance to ride in the parade on Saturday. Good luck contestants!
The theme for the 2009 fair and parade is
"Get Fresh, Eat Local, Go Wild".
The Emo
Legion will be hosting a Beer Garden upstairs in the Arena on both Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21 beginning at
Noon each day.

Jam on Friday, August 20th from 7 to 10:30 p.m. upstairs at the arena ~ people of all ages are invited
to come out for old-time and country music and dancing!
The
Emo Legion will be holding a Fish Fry upstairs in the Arena on Saturday, August 21 from 4 - 7 p.m. The cost is $8 per
plate. Bring the family.
There will also be an Age of
Majority Dance on Saturday, August 21st upstairs in the Arena. Music will be provided by the Nite Hawks.
Farm Progress Building (on the arena ice surface) is celebrating their 30th year. Check out the booths for a chance to win fabulous prizes.
Borderland Racing is on both Friday and Saturday nights. The races are sure to be exciting.
Passports will be available again this year. You can pick up your passport at the information
booth located in the booth across from the washrooms on the main grounds. The passports each have tickets
to fill out and then you have to find the correct box located somewhere on the grounds and enter the draws. The draws
are held on Friday and Saturday at 8:30 pm at the grandstand during racing intermission.
